MONTREAL, Que. (20/02/16) – Teams make their final push to the finish line at the ice canoe race in Montreal on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016. The Apex Physio team finished in fourteenth place with a time of one hour, 27 minutes and 27 seconds. Ice canoeing was first used to cross the Saint Lawrence River when there was too much ice for ferries. It debuted as a sport in 1894, with the first race being held between Lévis and the Port of Quebec at the first Quebec Winter Carnival.

CHELSEA, Que. (12/02/16) – A racer from the Camp Fortune race program foreruns for the FIS slalom race on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016. Forerunners test the track for competitors to ensure everything runs smoothly. FIS competitors are looking to qualify for national teams and potentially The Olympic Games. Slalom is the most upbeat of the four downhill skiing events. Skiing is a discipline of speed, coordination, agility and endurance.

BRISTOL, Que. (28/10/16) – Competitors from North America compete in dog races as part of the Dryland Canadian Championships on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016. Two dog scooter racing is one of many events that competitors engage in with their dogs. Racers also compete in several other events such as canicross, bikejoring and four, six, and eight dog rigs.

CHELSEA, Que. (13/03/16) – Brayden Pawlik performs a loop pike with grab at a freestyle mogul competition at Camp Fortune on Sunday, Mar. 13, 2016. He finished 14th with 13.76 points that counted airtime, jump difficulty and execution, and mogul’s performance. This event was celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the 1st Shell Cup Canadian National Championships of Canadian Amateur Freestyle Skiing at Camp Fortune.

OTTAWA, Ont. (10/01/16) – Cheerleaders from the Ottawa University football team perform daring stunts on the sidelines of the annual rivalry Panda Game between Carleton University and Ottawa University. This was the third consecutive win for the Carleton Ravens. They beat the Ottawa Gee-Gees 43-23 in front of 23,329 fans.
